Cornelia Edwards (1987), is a designer, teacher and researcher. Her practice focuses on the interplay between Artistic Research and Educational Theory.
She completed her BA in Visual Communication (2009) at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and her MA in Fashion Communication (2012) at the University of Arts in Utrecht, The Netherlands. While working with a teacher/artist, she realised that an educational project could become a work of art. With this idea, she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (2014) (PGCE) in Secondary Visual Art and Design at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Since then, she has been teaching K12 Visual Art and Design Education in the Czech Republic, Italy and Austria while completing her practice-based Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy) (2023) at the faculty of Art Education at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
